Some cool superhero exhibition

Hi Hive people!

Last weekend I went to a big mall in Jakarta for dinner. I live nearby, it only took 10 minutes on foot to get there from my place. I often refer this distance by "smoking distance", since I'm still smoking (yes, bad habit, I know), and it usually took me 1 cigarette smoking while walking.

This big mall has unique selling point since it give a lot of their place for arts and pop culture. At the main gate, you'll find big spot full of K-Pop vibes, with a lot of hand prints of K-Pop idols hanged on the wall.

They also have this big theater for orchestra to do some classical concert. This month, they have One Piece concert. It's a concert with an orchestra playing various scores from One Piece anime while screening many important moments from the anime. I would like to attend that but the ticket price was not too friendly for my wallet.

So, yeah, I just have dinner there. A nice decent dinner, with some typical uninteresting menu. And after that, I planned to went straight home. But...

As I told you on the earlier paragraphs, this mall always have spots for pop culture...

I saw an interesting display... At first, I thought there was a new Toy store opening.

I was wrong. It was an exhibition. An exhibition of a collective artist showcasing their talents on crafting action figure. They are so talented! The details were amazing.

Here I took some pictures from my cheap cellphone:

This one is my favorite. Taken from Dragon Ball Z. That moment when Piccolo shows his true self, from the demon king to the OG badass. I remember back then in the 90's, the manga DBZ was the one who took me into the realm of manga and anime. (Hats of to maestro Akira Toriyama, you will be forever missed)

This one is Cygnus Hyoga, from Saint Seiya. Not my favorite anime, nor not my favorite character, but I like the pose.

This one is Zabuza and Haku, from Naruto. For me, Zabuza and Haku were the two characters that introduce what the Naruto series is all about. It's not for kids. The ninja world is harsh, bloody, and super cruel.

Man, what can I say about this guy... This guy just... Rawks! In case you're wondering, this is Trafalgar Law. One of the most popular character in One Piece. His backstory is one of the best for me, but, Oda-sensei always creating an amazing backstory for his character, so this is really subjective, I guess 😁

I guess that's it. That was my weekend. I wasn't took a lot of photos since I was more busy watching all the action figures being displayed. Thanks to this exhibition, my weekend wasn't go as boring as I thought. This exhibition brings me a lot of joyful nostalgia. Not bad at all.
