Then as most should know, there was a Crypto Kaboom ... with one of the biggest of not the second biggest exchange going bankrupt. It looks like the owners were careless with funds and lost a lone made to a sister company, which was them selves. Someone has to go to jail over this as their actions lost billions of dollars of peoples money.

I too think that due to @elindos careful planning the current assets of players have been protected a good deal by pricing in USD for now. The biggest impact will likely be due to the buying power of folks planning to use currently held crypto to pay as there has been significant impact to the crypto assets vs USD. For presale it only meant for me that I used fiat to pay and held my crypto for later or other resources priced in crypto which suffered similar declines vs USD. And I assume Hive itself will escape long term effects.
Turns out it is dangerous for individuals or companies to use over valued assets to collateralize highly leveraged loans, even worse when both parties share ownership.

I don't think that it will affect EXODE as much as other games since all of the stuff is priced in USD. I know some people are not fans of that decision but I personally believe it was the right choice. Everyone knows the value of a USD, and as awesome as HIVE and other cryptocurrencies are, it feels really bad to have a collection worth $10,000 on Monday and then $2,500 on Tuesday. Especially if you paid that $10,000 out of your own pocket.

I would say that, hopefully, the recent crypto collapse will have very little effect on EXODE. But there is a lot of it depends in there. I imagine that people having less value in crypto assets will cause them to spend less, and to the extent that our developer is depending on various sales... well, they could be slower until the the whole situation reverses, which I think it eventually will. And new players paying the startup cost could also slow down. And naturally, the more quickly the situation reverses, the less it will matter.
As for general distrust of crypto assets... I think games can be resistant to that provided the assets have utility in a game people want to play. From my perspective as a game player, paying X for the assets I need to play a game is no different than paying the same X for a copy of the game to play. If I want to play the game, it's the cost of the game. So any crypto distrust effect should be able to be overcome if the game is ultimately one the gamers would want to play. That depends as well, but not on the crypto market.
