Our winter past & winter present

in #family6 years ago

This time last year we headed south to live in the sunshine for a month. Within 4 weeks notice we came up with the idea to live in Sandiego area for a month and found the perfect airbnb apartment. We packed our stuff and hit the road a couple of days after Christmas. This was the perfect timing for us to do something like this because @joshuathomasgray just officially launched Anthro (our video production company) and he had a lot of upfront computer work and meetings that could be done from wherever. Our apartment was directly across the street from the beach and down the street from a taco shop (beach + tacos = life).

Joshua & I were both born and raised in the county we have always and currently live in. We love our home town but it is missing one important thing: the weather we desire. We are located near Seatte, Washington. What is Seattle known for? The rain (yes this). We have a few months of summer where days are long, warm, and beautiful. This is followed by fall, winter, and spring… also known as rain/possible sun, rain/ snow, rain /possible sun. Migrating South for the winter was an eyeopener for our family. We love the sun and we will one day chase it and embrace it all year long. For now we are here, in the cold, but staying content. I am so thankful for our Airstream and how relaxing of an environment it is. I wouldn’t want to spend my cold & wet winter in any other house.

Here are a few photos from our month living in SoCal: Our little wonderland we call home:
