I think a lot of people have already written what to do in such cases. But maybe you will find something new in my post. The main thing that you should understand is no panic at all. Panic is not your friend in such situations. If membors of the guardianship authorities, the police or the juvenile commission come to your family, remember that you have a number of legal rights that are important to know about.
1) Never open the door without knowing who is behind the door. In addition, teach this also your children.
2) If you are told that the representatives of CPS have come, it is better not to open the door at all especially if you are not ready for such a visit or if you are at home alone or alone with the children.
What does it mean to be ready for a visit by the guardianship or the police?
3) You should be with an adequate witness - husband, friend and a lawyer. You must have a dictaphone or camera.
4) You should set your house in order, the children should have their own beds, toys, clean clothes for the season, ready meals and a stock of products in the fridge.
5) If you are not ready for the visit of the guardianship never open the door. In this case, let CPS know that you can not open the door (for example, your child is sleeping, the husband forbade you to open the door if he is not at home, or that the schedule does not allow, etc.), but call urgently your friends-relatives- lawyers. The main thing is to show that you know your rights.
6) Do not leave access to your home, even if you leave for a short while, and the children remain in the apartment - in order to avoid the withdrawal of children in your absence. There were a lot of such cases!
7) Do not enter into long negotiations and do not be afraid, remember that losing a child is much worse. Besides, everything you will say they can use against you.
8) If possible move, until this story ends, in another place. In this situation, you must do everything possible and impossible to prevent the child from being taken away, so it is even better to hide with him in an unknown direction, since in this case you will have a chance to defend your rights in court without separating from the child. Otherwise, the child will be a hostage, and it will be extremely difficult to sue under such circumstances. As a rule, the representatives of CPS threaten to deprive you of parental rights if you are not compliant, and that the child will be transferred to a shelter or foster family. Know that the first place where the seized child gets is the infectious disease department of the hospital. Next place is a shelter or a foster family. In both places, there is a threat of violence against the child.
9) If you have already commited this stupid thing and admitted employees, offer them to take off shoes, lock the entrance door, also ask to remove the outer clothing - because you have children and that is why observe cleanliness. This is important for many reasons - thus you demonstrate that you take care of children, find yourself in the role of the master of the situation and warn the possibility of abruptly disappearing with the child for employees.
10) Discard the trip with the child to the hospital, if his health is okay - there is more difficult to control the situation there. Say that you will bring a health certificate from the doctor tomorrow.
11) Do not sign anything, not even the certificate of apartment inspection. Tell that you will sign it in the presence of your lawyer, and he can not drive up now. If necessary, study this act later, in a more relaxed environment.
If the guardianship authorities came without the police, you can not let them enter the apartment at all - under the Constitution, the home is inviolable, and no one has the right to enter if you do not want it.
And if the guardianship came with the police?
Police officers can enter without your permission if they believe that only in this way they can save a child from a crime. If they claim that a signal has come about something terrible, you should ask them to name the registration number of the material in the criminal record certificate and to check it by calling to the duty room. First, you also need to check their documents and rewrite the data.
It is worth immediately writing about what is happening in social networks and saying the representatives of CPS that you are going to tell about this visit to journalists. It is very good if you can immediately call a lawyer, or just an acquaintance and ask him to come. Lawyers advise to record everything that happens on the video or at least on the tape recorder.
I am told that complaints have been received about ill-treatment of children. How to act?
In this case, ask where they got such data. Remember that anonymous complaints can be checked by the guardianship authorities and the police only as a last resort if they are told about something that may indicate a serious danger (for example, if the child cries and it seems that he is being beaten). If the complaints are not anonymous, the officials should tell where and when they got them.
What if the police and guardians entered the house?
Remember that they should only make sure that the life and health of the child is not in danger. For example the mess in the apartment and your child's hair can not be considered a source of danger - this should be reminded to employees if necessary. If it comes to the selection according to the 77th ( in Russia) article of the Family Code, remember, the guardianship authorities should have an appropriate act signed by the head of the municipality.
If the police are trying to draw up an act of neglect, insist that the child is under surveillance, and promise to appeal against illegal actions in the prosecutor's office and other instances.

This is SUCH an important post.. I think you have hit the nail on the head here.. because if people ONLY knew their rights and what to do then MANY of the child removals would never happen..
In fact now you make thing that another flyer that should be made is one that contains advice to explain to people what their rights are. When someone is armed with this information they will have confidence and not be bullied into opening the door to the wrong people
I also think that people should know their rights not to lose their children, I have noticed that CPS mostly take children from poor people who does not have enough knowledge about their rights and laws, who are not protected by anybody.
