That's what doctors say to parents who don't go to hospitals as often as the system demands it.
To tell you the truth, I was shocked when I read this news.
It looks like the System has gone absolutely crazy demanding too much from parents and forgetting about their LEGAL RIGHTS.
Personally I stopped visiting the state policlinics for kids when I rejected from all vaccinations for my son.
I knew that if I continue to visit the doctor there, I would meet prejudice and prepossession (I face it often when I say about unschooling and anti-vaccination position).
That's why I preferred not to go there at all.
And what do we have now?
Is it a crime too??
During last 6 months there has been a significant increase in cases where clinic doctors demand information about visits to private clinics, forgetting about the existence of Article 13 of Federal Law 323 "On the Fundamentals of Health Protection".
There have been more cases where nurses and paramedics grab mothers with strollers right on the street and demand either documents about examinations of children, or to register with a state clinic, otherwise they threaten to contact the authorities for the prevention of homelessness.
What is it?? Forced medicine?!
Therefore, when a doctor exceeds his authority and tries to be a parent to your child instead of you, forcing you to vaccinate by threatening to hand over information about your family to the police ( or juvenile affairs inspector) or CPS, then we have two options:
Smile, thank for the warm welcome, get up and leave.... Report about the abuse to the head doctor or manager's office.
Go on the offensive: warn that, according to Article 13 of the Federal Law - 323 "On Health Protection", a polyclinic official has the right to hand over the family's personal data to third parties in strictly defined cases, if there is a fact of neglect or a threat to the life and health of the child.
In other cases, this will be abuse of power, which is a criminal offense.
If a juvenile affairs inspector or a guardianship officer called - immediately file an application to familiarize yourself with the case materials (complaints) and write a complaint to the head physician of the clinic about the official who committed arbitrariness.
Or immediately file an application with the prosecutor's office on two points: transfer of your data to third parties for a purpose not related to receiving a medical service and arbitrariness and abuse.
The most important thing: no fear!
We are simply using our right!
My wife convinced me to find a pediatrician for our children, one who is very easy to work with and understanding of our position. It creates a "paper trail" of accountability and a faithful testimony concerning the care of our children by an accepted professional.
you're lucky if you have such a doctor. I amn't so lucky for now;(
(I'm still not fond of doctors, but this one is friendly and trustworthy. If you can't find a trusted doctor, better to not have one at all.)
It's crazy the power they have! Before we moved away from the US, I was glad we had a doctor that was okay with our decisions, even if I had to sign a waiver at times in their office. We found one that worked better for us (without having to sign stuff) before we moved. It's tough for parents in the US and other countries when the doctors want to parent the child and use force to do it!
yeah... you're right. I preferred even not to say about antivaccination position because it was dangerous. I just stopped going there with my kid. Thanks God they didn't make me do it.
