The Havenworlders who were saved when the scaffold fell decided to visit the Human that saved them. The medics realized having the Human sit alone in silence, while it did help the body heal, was damaging to a human's mind and caused them to become agitated. So the medics invited the visitors to come, to chat, and explained that it helped a human recover. The workers who had put up the scaffolding incorrectly, which lead to the accident, also visited, to apologize.

As with most discoveries, one mistake can make a world of difference. One random, curious child met with a recovering Deathworlder. One long conversation that should have been disturbing turned out to be beneficial. The Mediks, unfamiliar with Human weirdness, learned all about psychological benefits.

Fortunately for all concerned, the Mediks were apt to learn very quickly.

They instantly changed the specifications to Visitors Welcome, and began with the very wholesome invitation to the Havenworlders that Human Tyr had saved. They came in full livesuits because they didn't know what to expect. Deathworlders and Havenworlders still kept their distance, before the peace with Britania.

"Oh hey, it's the little fuzzies," cooed Tyr. "You guys all made it okay?"

There was a pause as the translators struggled to convey the soul of the message rather than the meaning of the individual words. "You have saved our lives," they said via the translator. "We are eternally grateful."

Tyr laughed so hard they had to get extra painkillers. "Ow. I'm just glad you're all right. When the Emergency people carried y'all off before me? I thought it was serious beans for you."

Some discussion over the meaning of legumes followed, so the Havenworlders could have an accurate reply.

"We were treated for shock, true," came the translation, "but we did not receive bad injuries."

The longer Human Tyr had visitors, the better off they were. Even for the people who had constructed the scaffolding in the first place.

"There were errors in the weight ratings," explained the spokes-worker. "We have stopped the error from recurring and sent warnings out via the infonets. Such an accident will not happen again."

"Better a load of bricks landing on someone who can take it," cheered Tyr. "We - that is, Humans - had a lot of those troubles back in the day. Hell, we still have some now. Try converting from Ghiishemite kegs to GalStand Weight Units, sometime."

Murmur murmur murmur murmur. "We are unfamiliar with Ghiishemite kegs..."

Tyr told the story, and they were happy to do so. The more stories they could tell, the better their mental health. Appreciative audiences welcome.

It may have been the first time a Deathworlder was wheeled into the kids' wards for storytime. It was definitely the first time it was done so for the Deathworlder's health.
