Good Evening and Happy Independence Day Philippines!
And greetings to everyone else tonight!

If you don't know already, June 12, is the Philippines' independence day to celebrate our freedom from the Spanish and Americans and the establishment of the sovereign and free Philippine government. This year, like all other years, we celebrate the independence day as a holiday with our families and friends.

Today, I didn't exactly spend it with with family and friends (at least not most of it), I spent with my business partners learning how to trade FX with some master traders from my partner's brokerage company. It turned out great to be honest, learned a lot and I think I now possess the knowledge to create a good trading bot as I was instructed

However, Is everyone really having a happy independence day? #Marawi

However.. listening to the news, on the radio, a public government announcement spoke of the Filipino soldiers who died in the recent fight at Marawi, in Mindanao. More than 40 soldiers died in total, from the Philippine Army to the Navy. It's such a sad life we live in that soldiers like them have to fight and died for the freedom we enjoy everyday and the freedom we only bother to celebrate and realize every year. Freedom is such a big thing in our lives, and with every moment we fight for our own individual freedom. In fact, being an individual is part of the freedom we enjoy. Even Steemit here is an instrument we use to exercise our freedom.. Participating in pride marches, blogging, playing, reading, all this fought for and safeguarded by our freedom fighters, our armed forces.

I'd like everyone, even those not from the Philippines to give a moment and dedicate it to our soldiers, from the Philippines and from wherever you are. Thank you very much.

Please Pray for #Marawi

Thank you very much for reading, and good evening!

It's bad to hear for such a bad news on your holiday.
The war is something awful. Thousands of people die every day. Every soldier who has taken a part in the fight for his country, for his family and friends, every single of them have to be honored. Good job that you did such an amazing article where you mentioned these heroes, so they never will be forgotten.
