Pondering on the next step in my education...

Dear Steemians,

As you may be aware Strathclyde University is the first UK university to offer a fintech course based on the blockchain and smart contract writing.

I hope to apply to this uni and maybe fund my tuition through bitcoin and cryptocurrency investment in steem and other currencies.

Here is a link to a rough edit of my dissertation proposal.

The course covers python programming and requires no previous programming or financial knowledge just a bachelors degree in a related field.. economics, finance, accounting, computer science, mathematics etc

The university is ranked highly and is the no 1 scottish university for the last 4 years and the in the top 7 of the UK consistently for over 5 years. I know its not London School of Economics but it is also ranked 1st for value for money due to its relatively cheap location and student friendly city of Glasgow.

I know its much colder but I'm pondering moving to scotland for one year to do a masters in this cutting edge field or hang around London until my cryptocurrency is worth a good half a million.

Check out the course syllabus here.

There are government Masters Loans of up to £10k in the UK now. If you want to hang onto your coins AND pay for your Masters look into it! I enrolled on a Creative Thinking MA this year through the scheme which I couldn't afford. Grab it while you can. Then pay back the loan in Bitcoin when its worth a lot.

Of course, that's if you qualify. I can't remember the exact terms but its worth checking.

hey @fishbrain thanks for the info, I do know about these government loans but the funding I require is over the amount they provide as other costs come into play the tuition is 12K and so if I pay im left owing 2K and then need to find a job / grant /loan/cash to pay for my rent and food...I don't like working much tbh and so if I can get away with not having to work whilst I'm studying you can bet your steem power I won't be collecting glasses or serving drinks.

Well, lets hope Blockchain tech finally free's us from slavery my friend. :)

Good luck on your endeavors.

cheers to that :)
