    I usually prefer to set-up a local DNS server, which enables me to do some extra filtering (like a Pi-Hole does) and cache all DNS requests from my network.
    If using a secure proxy with Firefox DNS queries are encrypted anyway ("Proxy DNS when using SOCKS v5" needs to be enabled) or when using Tor Browser which I prefer for private/anonymous browsing.
