Fitrar rate has been fixed at Tk 70 and maximum Tk 2,310 each in Ramadan this year. Last year, Fitrara had a minimum of 65 rupees and a maximum of Tk 980.
The rate was fixed at the meeting of National Fitra Assessment Committee in the chair of the Islamic Foundation in the capital's Baitul Mukarram on Wednesday.
According to affordability, the quantity of wheat or flour, date, kismis, cheese or barley can be distributed among the poor as a fixed amount or any of its market value.
