Shallow Thoughts
As part of their grand re-opening, the Kroger in my neighborhood had T-Bone steaks on sale. For anyone who isn't familiar, the T-Bone is a combination of a a small tenderloin and a large strip steak joined together by a T-shaped bone. I've never bought this cut before and had to give it a try:
I undercooked it a bit at 4 minutes per side at 600F in the Big Green Egg, but it came out great. I felt like a caveman while I was eating it!
Deep Nuts
After all the cold and rain, we had a great day for cleaning up the yard for spring. The first task was cleaning up a river of acorns that formed on my lawn thanks to flooding around my live oak tree:
I didn't get it perfectly clean, but it's enough to give the grass a fighting chance at coming back in a month:
We also planted some basil companions next to our tomatoes. The next project is to figure out where we put the compost bin!

Hmm... interesting... "Cartoon Meat".
Never had that cut, but it probably isn't better than Fillet Mignon, now that's a steak.
It really is the stereotypical cartoon meat! The T-bone actually contains a Filet Mignon:
That's the beauty, it's two different tastes/textures in one badass steak.
AAAaaaaah! Now even I need to try it... didn't know that!
The meat looks tender and tasty
I became hungry after seeing your post :D
Glad you like it, I wish I could share it with everyone who comes to read!

:) ooh very thank you,,, I appreciate it,,,
I've never tasted a roasted bone. It seems to have a very tasty taste sensation. I will try to make it myself. Looks like you have a very wide page that can work to plant some vegetables. It should be dry leaves that you can use as a compost medium for the fertility of your plants. Good luck always for you @grolelo.
Yeah, there are loads of dry leaves in my yard and plenty of fruit/vegetable scraps in the kitchen that I would love to turn into compost. . . I just need to pick the right spot and the right bin, will get to it eventually.
What if you liked the meat? I confess that it is one of my favorites here in my country is difficult to buy it is too expensive but when I can eat it and it is extremely delicious, here we call it chop: D could also tell you that you see a good change in the garden hopefully your harvest come out very well!
The garden is coming along VERY slowly. I need to find more time to plan and plant!
It seems that T-bone is so delicious, I have never heard of it before. Hopefully you enjoy the food with your family, it seems you are also very diligent in planting plants that are useful for everyday, hopefully grows fertile. Success always for you @grolelo😊
The perfect lifestyle, togetherness with family is a very happy thing.

When I first bought the Big Green Egg, I thought I would still use my Weber gas grill for quick things like chicken or vegetables. Now that I've cooked pretty much everything over lump charcoal, I've discovered that EVERYTHING tastes better when I cook it in the egg, so the gas grill will likely never be used again.
That, and I really like building fires :)
