Earlier I posted many of the bad things I ate in China, and now this story is about the good stuff. But I realized I actually only have two pictures of good things I ate. Even though I found only two pictures, I'm still posting this because these foods are kinda awesome. Both of these places are affordable and highly recommended.
Left: This place is like some grandma's kitchen serving traditional Shanghainese cuisine. All of these dishes were good, but I found the egg dish the most interesting. It's called crab eggs. Main ingredients are eggs, ginger, sugar, vinegar, and crab powder. So it doesn't taste very eggy, but kind of sweet, sour, and sloppy. (Lanxin restaurant, Shanghai)
Right: Yang's dumplings. Famous place in Shanghai to get cheap, amazing dumplings. These are soup dumplings fried on one side. I prefer the ones with shrimp inside, but the pork filled ones are good too.
