I took a swerve from the sweet things yesterday and tucked into these crisps instead. My husband bought them for us to share. I do prefer sweet foods, but I thought I would try these instead. Here’s what I thought.
Co-op Irresistible Katsu Curry Crinkle Cut Crisps
Seasoned with coriander, coconut and a rich, fragrant spice blend.
We don’t normally have crinkle cut crisps, so first of all this made a change and made the crisps a bit more interesting. When the bag was opened, I was surprised to see a relatively good amount of crisps in the bag. Some brands have half a bag missing which really annoys me! These crisps smelled like Katsu Curry, but let’s see if they taste like Katsu Curry. The crisps looked deep in colour and they looked like they had a lot of flavour. I was not wrong. The crisps had a very good amount of spice and seasoning. They weren’t salty as a lot of flavours have been recently from other brands. They were quite warming to taste. I couldn’t pick out the individual flavours that made up the Katsu Curry, but one thin’s for sure, they kept me going back for more. A great Katsu Curry taste with the crunch to match. Love them!
Whilst I’ve had many Katsu flavoured crisps before, I think these ones were the ones that most resembled Katsu Curry. The seasoning and spice was quite authentic and I didn;t think you would be able to get that much flavour in the humble potato crisp, These were so nice, I ended up eating more than my husband! I guess he’ll have to go out and buy some more.
