Hawaiian Style Steak Poke Bowl
2 lb. Steak- Which ever cut of beef that you prefer.
1 Tbsp Coconut Oil / Oil of Preference
1 Med. Green Onion
1 Clove Garlic
1/2 Med. White Onion
1 Cup Sort Grain Rice (Pearl Rice)
Marinade:
2 sheets of Seaweed
4 Tbsp. Soy Sauce
3 Tbsp. Mirin
3 Tbsp. Rice Vinegar
3 Tbsp. Sesame Oil
2 Tbsp. Honey
2 Tbsp Sesame Seeds
Cooking Directions:
Start by marinating the steak, green onion, and seaweed together with the marinade and put in the fridge for 1 to 24 hrs. To prepare the Rice on a stove top. Use one cup of Rice with 2 1/2 cups of water. Let the water boil and simmer for 20 minutes. While rice is cooking dice the white onion and a clove of garlic, saute in a frying pan with Coconut Oil for 1 minute before adding the Steak mixture. Brown meat by searing all sides on Medium High Heat for 6 minutes. Make a generous bed of Rice and place the Steak on top and Enjoy!
