It’s a good arguement, but you are wrong. Just because you can’t see how it could happen doesn’t mean it won’t. There are countless times is American history and world history where the public in no way could have forseen the events that led to political violence. All you need is the right atmosphere and a match. Do I think there will be civil war in the next two years?....No, but to think you have the forsieght to see events that have not yet unfolded even in the next ten years and to then say that America will never have another civil war is silly. Humans are very poor at estimating behavior on the collective level. If you were to ask anyone two years ago if they thought half the American people would go full-retard they would have thought it impossible and yet today...that is the current state.
