John Adams wrote this 'will be the most memorable' moment in history, July 3, 1776

Although Will Smith’s ‘Independence Day' gives a new meaning to the words unalienable rights, Adam's prediction has come true. 'We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal… with certain unalienable Rights, [and] among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.'

Even now we continue to try to advance this in our own minds and lives. We seek to grant it to others as well as ourselves, while hopefully not interfering with others too deeply.

In blessed ‘free’ nations, there is still much poverty and inequality. Even blockchain and related movements hope to bring more democratic money and other systems.

Most nations on earth now appeal to these stated ideals. Lawful religious liberty, owning property and freedom of speech are among these rights.

We may have our own personal prison walls and tyrannous forces to surmount, but at least with some governmental freedom, liberty is within our grasps. It resides within our range of control and choices. Still, there are millions who do not even have this grand ability—to act out the freedom found within themselves.

Therefore it is no wonder that this time is so well known and celebrated.

Happy 4th to all you Americans of the US.
