Let's Crank that Saturation, Baby!
So my buddy @tattoodjay is launching a new tag called #funkyedits and I wanted to do a post to spread awareness of it. I think edits are a big part of photography. No matter what the purists say, even in the ancient history days of film and the enlarger, folks did what they could to effect the end product, it is just easier nowadays.

I think that #funkyedits is going to be a great tag. I like to do some silly shots and that seems like a good place to put them. So I hope everyone will take some time and check out #funkyedits...maybe even drop a few pics!

My phone never captures the intensity of the color anyway ... so already the photo is edited with its birth. I often try to remember what it looked like and recreate it. I have run to calling my photos ... digital art. I think that gets around the purists. And what can you say when the edit takes your breath away, like theses sunset shots ... I say edit away; photos aren't accurate anyways.

Beautiful colors.
I often use editing on my artworks to bring out the depth of colour. Nothing wrong with thatin my opinion. Art is art in my book Paul :-)

Hi @old-guy-photos I've been hoping for a challenge like this. I'm all for a bit of funky from time to time. Sounds like a lot of fun. Resteeming to get the word out.
I will be sure to have a play in this tag. I'll probably need to get better photo editing software though. I've been sort of silently enjoying some of your posts, though it was time to follow. Keep up the good work.

Good idea for a new tag!!! Nothing wrong with photo/video/music editing, which just provides another layer of creativity IMHO.

You know I keep seeing so many photo posts, and I can never work out if it's a straight up picture or if it had an edit to enhance it. You can certainly produce some impressive effects - all three of these pictures are stunning. I guess I need to pick up one of those fangled app wotsits and have a go myself - I could do with getting myself being a bit more Funky!

This one looks fun, better jump on in. Far cry from dodging and burning and 40 pieces of expensive paper. Amazes me what we can do now. Basically put out a magazine article in a couple of hours on here. And I'm with you, editing is A-OK. The better the image looks, the more impact, in my book. Nice works here with or without edits.
