Slime Rancher!

Hello everyone! Today I've decided to share a bit more about the game I've been enjoying so much in the past few dats. I'm only sharing screenshots as I don't know how to make a video

The game is free for 2 more days on Epic Games store, where I got it. (You will need an account and to install a launcher) Or there is a 50% discount on Steam

This post was inspired by @mandelsage 's gaming post: Mandel's Game Library 🎮 - 001 - Insurgency!

First of all, the art style is simply adorable! The colors are cheerful and the scenery is fun and relaxing, not overly detailed. My video settings are set to medium, as that's what my PC can handle.
(I'm not sure why the screenshots aren't as crisp as the ingame.)

I love collecting things and this case it's collecting slimes and their resources. The resources can be sold, or some of them can be used for crafting gadgets.

This is just a small part of my ranch :D There are several sections that you can unlock as you progress and collect more money.

This is the lab where you can create some decorations or cool gadgets like teleporters, drones and more.

There are many varieties of slimes and one of the achievements is to find and collect from each kind ^^ I didn't pay much attention to the story, it was just a cool addition to the game. I tried completing as many achievements as I could :D Have only a few more left.

A portion of the map.

As you may notice there are several zones with different color themes, like the jungle, ancient temple, desert and more.

There are a couple of minigames and the developers are working on more :)

The Rush Mode

Once I completed the main game and discovered everything, I decided to try the rush more, which turned out really fun. The rush more lasts maximum 5 in game days, so it's quite short. The goal is to collect as much money as possible. It's important to complete missions like the one above to get more time and money.

Oh yeah! There are some huge slimes in the game as well xD

I took all of these screenshots by myself in game :)

Aaah i love this style of in-game world ! * ___ * The colours are so wonderful and happy and the game looks so fun :D I can see that there are a sense of accomplishments that you get as you build your levels and ranch and unlocks improvements :D So cool~

That huge slime at the end looks so happy XD What a cute game :D

Yeahh! It's so fun, I can't believe they're giving it away for free. I hope the developers make more games like this in the future :D
I did almost everything there is but I just keep wanting to play more xD

I stumbled upon this game for free about a year ago (Xbox gold I believe?) And was hooked! I loved collecting my little chicks but I learned quickly not to leave them with hungry kitty slime too long. My favorite slime was a toss between the water and the glow bugs. I stopped playing pretty soon after building drills when I wasn't sure how to deploy.

I played the rush mode before the original so I wasted so much time grinding for my rock, pink and cat plorts. May have to return to rush again and boop some big slimes off the cliff!

Aww that's a shame, maybe they didnt have a good tutorial back then. It's quite easy to do the drills once you know the keys and spots. On keyboard it's "r", on an xbox controllet it's apparently the right stick (you need to press it). This will show the rarad and locations where you can place things (interact to place) :)

Thanks for the tip! I didn't dive too deeply in seeking answers, as it was a free game without much in the way of objectives. It's pretty typical for me to grow tired of the accumulation games, but the graphics were very cute.

Yeah I think you played while it was still early access, I saw some videos online :D
It's really great now and the tutorial is good.

This looks like a fun one @kristyglas almost like Minecraft world with bubbly cartoons.

Yeah it does remind me, but its more farming than crafting ^^ the crafting is very basic.
