NEW PC BUILD

in #gaming6 years ago

So this is pretty much a follow up post for the one I did exactly 3 weeks ago, A LOT has changed and actually I have had my setup done for like a week already, but I just haven't had a moment to create a post yet.

First off lets add a complete picture of my new PC

So as you can see I tried to do a bit of cable management as well and for the first time me doing it properly I would say this looks really freaking awesome. One cable at the top you can see but I'm still thinking on what to do with that one.
The whole theme of the setup was to make it powerful but beautiful at the same time, and I was planning on doing like a black/red theme which I think I managed, because the CPU fan should actually do RGB lights not just blue.

So the parts I got within the last 3 weeks are the following.

CPU - Intel Core i5-8600k

The reason why I got this processor is simple, it's one of the best processors in it's price range.
Also it's hexa core with a core clock speed of 3.6GHz and Turbo being up-to 4.3GHz.

That is amazing!

CPU COOLER - Raijintek Leto RGB

This is the first time I actually own a proper CPU cooler that's not a stock cooler so this was an interesting experience on installing for me, plus this looks amazing, the RGB colors that it should provide, it's also really really silent and it's in an amazing price class costing only ~30 euros.

Motherboard - MSI Z370 Gaming Plus

Main reason for this part was because it was pretty cheap while it still supported CPU socket 1151, it also had this nice red led glow which I really wanted to have. What's good about this motherboard is that it supports DDR4 up-to 4000MHz so you can have some pretty high speed ram in there, plus it also supports DDR4 Boost to make it even faster.

RAM - Corsair Vengeance LPX Red DDR4

The ram looks incredible and it is incredible, I have the ram speed currently at stock 3000MHz which I could easily boost higher thanks to my incredible motherboard. The ram looks nice and suits amazingly on the motherboard.

CASE - BitFenix Nova TG Midi-Tower

Case was something I was thinking on for a long-long time and the reason why I choose this one was because of the price-quality ratio. The case has an amazing tempered glass on one side, really nice built in red fan and a lot of room, it also had 3.5"; 2.5" and even 5.25" Disk/drive slots. So you can easily hide the ugly cable mess that comes from HDD's/SDD's etc behind the case. It's also an solid and pretty elegant looking ATX case with really nice cable management support.

Quick summary

I am really happy on how it all turned out and the total setup cost me around ~920€.
I'm still missing a new HDD and probably an SSD as well, maybe even m.2 SSD because the motherboard supports it :P.

Anyway this is the setup that I built and that's the cable management I did, how about rating it on a 10 point scale? :)

I'll add a couple of pictures here, but they are all done under the table sadly currently so nothing really special to show.
