Koko Coast appears to be taking off! Checking with Isabelle today revealed that the island has reached four stars- there’s always more to do and higher goals to reach, but it’s not shabby at all! We also got a sweet review from Celeste.
To celebrate, I redesigned the flag. I wanted to incorporate oranges into the design to convey the more citrus theme of the land, in addition to its namesake.
The museum got moved today! I worked on terraforming the area around the museum. My ultimate goal is to have a flower garden in front, and on top of the waterfall will be an observation area to watch the night sky. So far, I think it’s shaping up to be pretty nice!
I do have to wait for my sister to move her house back to really get working on it, though.
Inside my house, work continues on the attic. I had to make a very hard decision today. I had hoped to have the left side of my room be a bedroom and the right side be the arcade, but due to the limited space I have decided to cut the bedroom. Goodbye corner bedroom, you will be missed.
Now that I’m using the entire space, I need to be on the hunt more than ever for all of the pinball and arcade machines. I also had to order another billiards table, which should come in tomorrow. However, I do really like the space!
I also got a couple orders in today. One was the coral aloha shirt which I adore. The second is Tangy’s poster, which I can finally put in the shrine to Tarantula Jesus.
One day, I was attempting to catch a tarantula on the shoreline. Typically tarantulas will jump into rivers, but I’m not sure if the devs considered what to do if a tarantula entered the ocean. As a result, the tarantula walked on water and then disappeared. I was too struck with awe to get footage, but there are pictures online of a similar phenomena.
So as a result, from that day forward, Tarantula Jesus has become the official deity of Koko Coast. The basement of my house is a shrine to the beast, where I keep my statues as offerings. I also keep a poster of every villager there so that Tarantula Jesus will watch over them and bugs will not attack them. Villagers that have left the island are honored as well, for once under the eight watchful eyes of Tarantula Jesus, always under Their loving care.
In other news, Tangy is so cute! Her facial expressions are some of the cutest in the game I love her.
