Almost all the time my skins have been rented, I definitely do not have a problem with a lack of renters. My Karambit has been rented by the same person for almost a whole month now, bringing in about $1USD a day. The beauty of this is that at any time I can cash-out and sell all my CS:GO skins. This means that everything I make from renting is pure PROFIT!
I have had my Karambit up for rent since the 04/25/18 and added my Butterfly Knife to my repertoire on 06/15/18.
