If you haven't heard, referrals no longer take a 5% cut out of your gains and will be a bonus to the referral. While I was unable to get an explanation of how I was told by the team having someone referred will benefit both parties.

Unfortunately, the referral link didn't work and many people didn't get credit for their referrals. You are able to go into your account and elect someone as the one who referred you. You can only do this for the next 7 days by going into help and entering in the referral in this box.

If you found out about the game through my post, you can use themarkymark as your referral. You are free to choose whoever you want but after the next 7 days you will no longer be able to choose a referral and it will only work through the referral link.

If you haven't tried the game, it is a lot of fun and is basically a clone of the old Mafia Wars game that was extremely popular in the '90s. By playing the game you can earn Steem by increasing your drug production or providing drugs for the daily heist.

The current prize pool for Sunday is over 6,000 Steem!

Strategies

I recommend upgrading evenly and not just focusing on drug production. While this is not the most efficient for short term gains, over the long term it will allow you to purchase more troops or get more upgrades for free.

You are able to play without spending any Steem, but by spending 50-200 Steem you will dramatically increase the rate your character snowballs. This is important for increasing your drug production quickly in comparison to other players.

You will want to upgrade your storage as soon as possible, you are only protected for up to 10% of your maximum storage, so the higher your maximum capacity, the more protection you have.

Clans

Clans are being added to the game and will be announced soon. From what I understand it will be a very large part of the gameplay and very central to the game mechanics. No further details have been released but I believe will be announced in the next major update.

Battles are currently disabled and will be re-enabled for the next update with a 24-48 hour heads up.
