Welcome to this very first edition of One Girl One Gay.
I, along with @jentalks, are undertaking a very exciting journey of self-discovery. We both pride ourselves on our powerful creative minds, so it is with great excitement that we are discovering how our strengths, in that department, can best complement each other.
Jen is the visionary, she came up with the idea of centering the video series around inspiration and is passionate about creating a familiar format that the public can relate to. She is keenly aware that simplicity works best, she is incredibly funny and outrageously spontaneous.
I bring an experience in building a YouTube channel, which serves as a platform for the series thus far. I am incredibly playful, and I have a good sense of the places where we can mess up and still look charming.
Shooting and editing the show on my phone, using a Rhode microphone, I help to breathe life into the episodes from a technical standpoint.
It is a work in progress, to be sure, especially with this slightly chaotic pilot episode where Jen talks us through three of the greatest sources of inspiration in her life, gardening, fitness and weight management and Journaling.
