Un nido de Chulinga en casa/A Chulinga nest at home

Les presento a los tres pichones de chulinga, que han nacido en el patio.
I present to you the three chulinga chicks, which were born in the yard.

La Chulinga es un ave que abunda acá en Isla Margarita, también la pueden encontrar con el nombre de Paraulata aunque su nombre científico Mimus gilvus.

The Chulinga is a bird that abounds here on Isla Margarita, you can also find it with the name of Paraulata although its scientific name Mimus gilvus.

Construyeron su nido en una mata de ciruelas que tengo al pie de otra de coco. Los tres pichones cuando recién salidos del huevo ya esperaban por la comida de los padres, estos para alimentarlos van y vienen contantemente al nido trayéndoles de comer gusanos pequeños, me acercaba cuando se alejaban los padres para evitar estar cerca de ellos, ya que esta ave defiende su nido agresivamente, contra otras aves y animales, como perros, gatos e iguanas, no quería probar si contra seres humanos también, por eso tome medidas para acercarme. Las chulingas cuando tienen los pichones siempre están dando vueltas a su nido o lo vigilan desde lejos.
They built their nest in a bush of plums that I have at the foot of another of coconut. The three chicks when they just hatched from the egg were already waiting for the parents' food, these to feed them constantly come and go to the nest bringing them to eat small worms, I approached when the parents left to avoid being near them, since this bird defends its nest aggressively, against other birds and animals, such as dogs, cats and iguanas, I did not want to test if against humans as well, so I took measures to get closer. The chulingas when they have the chicks are always circling their nest or watching it from afar.

Al pasar los días los pichones saltan del nido y se la pasan en la tierra, los padres bajan y continúan alimentándolos hasta que tengan suficiente plumaje para que emprendan su vuelo.

As the days go by, the chicks jump from the nest and spend it on the ground, the parents go down and continue feeding them until they have enough plumage for them to take flight.

Para mi vivir esto fue muy interesante, gracias por su tiempo.
