Always Darkest Before The Dawn Golden Hour Photography

I used this photo in a homestead photo challenge this week, but I checked and the goldenhour challenge said I can use it again. We were called at about 3 AM by our landlady, telling us the river was out of its banks and filling the pasture where our animals were. We got up to find out chickens on the perches but up to their ankles... Bessie was on a high spot in the middle of the pasture / pond, coaxing her to wade to dry ground was tricky. After a couple frantic hours, everyone was resituated so we brewed some coffee and were treated to this sunrise scene! This picture is my official entry:

Here is a collage I made shortly after it happened:

THANK YOU for your support! We have the babies so I will be pretty scarce around steemit for a day or two!

That's crazy.. is everything ok over there?

Yes, sorry I did not make it clearer this was from a few years ago! We have babies right now though! Will catch up on my 7 days post tomorrow! Hugs!

Awesome... much love... as always!

Thats a beautiful sunset and a nice idea of shots,

Enjoy your time with the babies

Nice photography, i like it

Wow! What a way to wake up!! Holla! Glad all is well that ends well 💚 i loooooove how the reflection of the mountain in the top pic is clearer than the actual mountain in the photo!

Good luck in your contests 😊

It's wonderful! Hopefully your chickens were saved, poor girls!

Ugh - rising waters are the worst. Glad to know everything is okay.

One thing I don't miss about our house in Largo was the near-constant flooding of the low side of our house. But that's a story for another day.

Lol! No shortage of stories for another day with homesteading!

Ain't that the truth!

And Florida actually has a homestead law, to protect homeowners, which, unfortunately, Tennessee lacks.

It is terrible to be awakened by rising waters! I am glad everyone is safe and sound! Good luck on the contests. Nice to have the babies visit!

I love the way you put this together. Glad your boat was close by!
