News that made me sit upright. Chrome is so riddled with flaws and zero-day exploits, that Google officially asked 2.6 billion people to uninstall their spyware.

The article I'm including (link at bottom of post) has most of what you should know. But in short, with so many people affected, you yourself as reader contributed most likely to a huge early Christmas present to thousands of hackers around the world. You made people happy and all smiles, and isn't that what life is all about? LMAO.

Just don't expect them to return the favor.

If Google's flagship downloadable product could be hacked this many times - and it happened on a large scale - and Google admits they added spyware themselves too, how safe is your data in the cloud? How safe is Google's many other products, like Drive, Keep, and others?

For a company whose products are supposed to be secure, with them employing the best security expert coders in the world, one should worry what happened to your banking details when you did some internet banking. And your passwords for other sites. That a company should ask users to delete software is extremely unusual and a huge red flag.

I noticed a discrepancy with Chrome some weeks ago, but fortunately I'm not really using it. Firefox is vastly more secure and customizable, and open-source too.
