Gestern Abend gab es auch Massenproteste in Griechenland, Athen gegen ein Gesetz der Regierung, das die Demonstrationsfreiheit einschränken soll. Nicht gegen Corona, sondern damit der Verkehr und Geschäfte von Demonstrationen nicht gestört werden 😂
Die Veranstalter von Demonstrationen sollen weiters für Schäden, die während einer Demonstration enstehen verantwortlich und haftbar gemacht werden.
So eine Regelung ist höchst problematisch, da die Demonstrationsfreiheit ein demokratisches Grundrecht ist, die Veranstalter gar nicht wissen, wer bei einer Demo teilnimmt, Demos eine Eigendynamik haben und es keine Sippenhaft für Veranstalter und Teilnehmer geben darf.
Dieses neue Anti-Demonstrations-Gesetz wurde von der Regierung bereits im Parlament beschlossen und löste die Unruhen in Athen aus.

Yesterday evening there were also mass protests in Greece, Athens, against a law that is intended to restrict the freedom to protest. Not to contain Corona, but to not disturb traffic and commercial activity by protests 😂
The protest organizers should also be held responsible and liable for any damage that occurs during a protest.
Such a regulation is highly problematic, since the right to protest is a basic democratic right, the organizers do not know who is participating in a protest, protests have their own dynamics and there should be no kin liability for organizers and participants.
This new anti-protest law was already passed by the government in parliament and triggered the riots in Athens.

Okay das heftig. Wenn die Veranstalter haften würde kaum noch wer es Riskiren seinen Kopf hinzuhalten, für etwas was andere machen. Man kann ja nie wissen ob welche nur zum Krawall machen dazukommen noch kann man das als veranstalter wirklich verhindern.
Wenn keiner dann mehr Demos anmeldet kann man jede Demo auflösen die einen als Regierung nicht passt, ist ja nicht angemeldet. Ein Dolchstoß in den Rücken für die Demonstrationsfreiheit.

It seems like the government is trying to change the law to justify police action during protests. Its really starting to feel like democracy is on a downward spiral
