Upvote bots, groups to support each other for upvotes

I came to Steemit because I wanted to post articles and videos that were important to me. Ok, I joined and found that I got some followers. One follower had a plan to get a whole bunch of people together, follow one another, everybody upvote each others posts, comment on one another's posts etc. I have an upvote bot who followed me as well.

At first this seemed intriguing. A way to earn a lot of Steem in a short period of time. Steem - money - transfer the Steem to Bitcoin - wow! Well, I tried this and I lasted for about 5 or 10 minutes. But it is not for me. I don't want to be reading posts about topics that are of no interest to me, comment on them, and follow people just for the sake of earning income. To the person who followed me, proposed this scheme and I followed: If you put me on this list, please take me off, I am not going to be participating. To anybody who is following me: Please do so if my content has relevance to your life, not to fulfill an upvote success list.

I feel a lot better now knowing I'm not going to be concerned with scheming ways to earn crypto. If I earn some, great! I will upvote posts and comments I think are worthy of my vote, and follow others whose posts or videos have relevance to me. Thanks!
