When did I start to like needlework?

Hello! Needlework fellows.

This is the first time I am writing in this community. I like to write about myself and my LOVE for needlewoork.

As long as I can remember I have been surrounded with needles, crochets, stiching etc. My whole family starting with my grandmother, mother and myself are very fond of all kinds of needlework like crochet, sewing and much more. I have always seen my mom and grandmother do all kind of needlework. I still remember my mom sitting watching Tv and at the sametime do her needlework. And I wondered how she could make it so fast and sometimes even without looking at what she was making and that impressed me alot.

My interest in crochet, stitching and sewing began at an early age, when I was only 8 years old. I insisted my mom to learn me how to make clothes for my dolls. Step by step my projects began to be more diffcult.I explored lots of things which I could do and I could sit many hours with my projects. At that time I remember I was ashamed of telling my friends that I did this because everyone was interested in video games, playing with dolls or playing outside and this seemed to be a very uncool thing to do, this granny stuff.
But you cant be apart from your love for too long.

I made friends like my grandmother, my mom's friends and asked everyone about new designs and new techniques. I learned a lot of things and it was a relaxing thing for me to do, I was in my own world when I did my projects.

Before youtube and the internet my mom took me to the liberary to borrow some magazines and books from which we learned many designs. But internet and youtube has opened a whole world for us to explore, when it comes to ideas on how to crochet, stich and much more, and I love it.

It was a long time ago I did embroidery, lately I have only been doing crochet and stitching because my daughter @ilma-ansari wants to learn. As the winter starts I want to make something like shawls, mufflers, or other stuff that my kids want.
Some projects can look like this, @hamza-art wantead to have this band with mouthmask in crochet so I made this. And the credits goes to Hamza 🙂

And then I made this crochet tablecloth for my dressingtable.

This winter before I start anything new I wanted to finish my project which I started a long time ago.

So I took the project it is a small bag which I got from my husband @shahzad-ansari. It was an Indian film named Sui Dhaga and as my husband promotead it in Sweden we got this special promotion gift, a bag with this text on it " SUI DHAGA" which means needle and thread. With this bag there was also needle and threads to do emroidery with. This gift is about 4 years old but I never got time to finish it.

As I already had started with this project a long time ago, I don't have any starting pictures. But this is the finishing and this bag is now my lunchbox bag which I love.

Have a happy needling ❤️hope to write here soon again.
