Tivoli - Copenhagen 😀

Times passes quickly, it is already wednesday, and just like many other wednesdays, it was time for a walk. Today I was actually pretty lucky, I was able to combine work with my wednesday walk...

Todays walk started with a one hour drive to Copenhagen, and another 30 minutes to find a parking spot in reasonable disctance from the amusement park called Tivoli...It is definitely not an easy task to find a parking spot in central Copenhagen..!!...

This week, schools around the country are closed, fall vacation in Denmark, so Tivoli was packed with people...I know, not the perfect time for a walk, but anyway it is still a good experience...And, we are getting closer to Halloween, so today the parked was packed with ghosts, witches and pumpkins...I'll probably do a post about that later on...

We walked around the park for about an hour, and then we found a place to sit down and enjoy a cup of coffee or hot chocolate. We sat there for for around 30 minutes, and then we walked some more...Of course we to some time to enjoy some of the amusements (the ones where the waiting time was acceptable, some of the rides had a waiting time of more than an hour...

After a couple of hours we decided that we had had enough of this crowded place, and we therefore went to get something to eat...Not very exciting, just a trip to KFC...but still, it was nice to get something to eat...

What is Tivoli, and is is worth a visit??

Tivoli is an amusement park, situated in central Copenhagen, Denmark (right across from the cental station).
Actually, Tivoli is the second oldest amusement park in the world (founded in 1843). The oldest is actually also situated in Denmark, approximately 20 kilometres north of Copenhagen.

Tivoli is visited by a lot of people every year, 2,3 million people in 2021 according to Wikipedia, which puts Tivoli on a fourth place on the list of the most visited amusement parks in Europe!

Even though the park is old, it is filled with fun rides and Danish culture, and it is definitely worth a visit if you ever visit Copenhagen...but be prepared to pull out the wallet, everything is pretty expensive there...!

I am finally back home, it has been a great day, no doubt about that!
