I feel like I have linked the tool bellow a lot of times, but many still ask, so please check for live data.
It is a great tool to follow the health of HBD build by @ausbitbank.

  • HBD supply 9.1M (excluding DHF balance)
  • Debt 3.6%
  • HIVE price to sustain current HBD supply and debt level $0.21
Sort:

HBD Debt rate is about 16% if you include the DHF / Hive Fund according to hiveblocks.com: Supply of HBD divided by current HIVE MarketCap. https://peakd.com/hive-167922/@vikisecrets/terra-ust-spectacular-crash-ust-debt-vs-hbd-debt-could-the-same-happen-to-hive-and-hive-dollar

Yes, but it is coded in the blockchain to exclude the HBD in the DHF when calculating debt and introducing haircut rule.... so the official debt is as above

HBD in the DHF is basicly not available for the general market until it leaves that account as a payout to some proposal

Oh interesting, I didn't know that

you'll notice that low 3.6% number assumes the current price of Hive is 60 cents. Hive has crashed 30% since the last update. So more like 5%?

I'm noticing well .... but it is all according to the blockchain and how this thing works ... so it is a 3.5 average feed price that is used to calculate debt.... if in three days we are at these levels, then the debt will increase yes

Oh shit that's the 3.5 average never mind.

Carry on! :D

This is really awesome

Wow. Not even close to the haircut. No wonder HBD is holding up so well.

True. I hope it holds but we never know

Just wondering but I recall hearing about the debt level going up in a future hard fork or talks about it. Is there any word on that end?

Yes it was set to go up to 30% ....
