TRAMADOL .. DO YOU USE TRAMADOL? DO YOU KNOW WHAT TRAMADOL IS? And it's dangers..

The rate at which our youths consume Tramadol is increasing greatly and very alarming. Recently I have read in the news about two teenagers who died after overdose of tramadol.even a video that Surfaced in which a young man went bunkers after consuming tramadol. I have seen boys having seizures all cause of tramadol overuse.. Now I want to write a little about tramadol.
Tramadol is a centrally acting analgesic. it is an Opiod and belongs to same family as Morphine, Codeine.it carries risk of addiction, abuse, and misuse. Therapy should be reserved for use in patients for whom alternative treatment options have not been tolerated.
It's use in pregnancy especially Prolonged use result in physical dependence in newborn and neonatal opiod withdrawal causing neonatal seizures, fetal death, still birth. It's analgesic action is partially reversed by the opiod antagonist Naloxone.
Tramadol has so many side effects (would put up pictures in the comment section) but to list few of them respiratory depression, sedation, constipation, urinary retention, dizziness, nausea. Sleepiness, lowering of seizure threshold. Emotional lability,hallucinations,euphoria,agitations.
Please and please Tramadol is a drug of abuse and should not be used or sold anyhow (I went mad the day I went to buy sweets at an aboki shop and while searching for the sweet,i saw packs of tramadol and when I asked he said "na people dey buy am now"). Please NAFDAC. pharmaceutical council, general public please let's be aware . Our youths are dying ..Lets monitor our kids carefully.. It's no longer funny..
