RE: Would you let people break your bones to become taller? For women in India, it's a life-changing opportunity.

Combine the rising demand for limb-lengthening surgery and the ridiculous amount of doctors in the country, the market for this cosmetic surgery boomed instantaneously. so much so that it has created an unregulated market where non-Orthopaedic doctors with little or no experience at all in doing the surgery jumped in to provide a much more competitive price to make hay while the sun shines. This makes the already high-risk surgery becomes incredibly dangerous and predisposed to complications especially permanent neurovascular compromise.

As crazy as it sounds, if the procedure is not well regulated, a non-orthopaedic doctor will jump into bandwagons offering this service. That to me is definitely dangerous.
Although I am not for this procedure, as long as there is a demand, they will always be a doctor willing to do it. It sad but it's true.

Good content that provokes the mind.

Thank you for sharing.

Aaaaaaa the doctor @bitrocker2020 was talking about ;) I'm honoured and humbled to have you reading this, I really am. Indeed it is sad when doctors lose sight of their ethics and operate based on people's insecurities.
Thank you for the supportive comment, I'l be sure to write more of contents like this in the future @papanog
