With statements like these, it's not hard to tell this comes from someone with incredibly right leaning politics. The "1 out of 3" death rate in New York is entirely false, and no where did I see where he actually explains why wearing a mask is "dangerous".
The number one reason why America is STILL dealing with the numbers we are is because people on both sides of the isle want to turn the whole damn thing into a way to cram their agenda and opinions down everyones' throats.
Wearing a mask is scientifically proven to reduce the risk that your spew hole will be the cause of someone else catching a virus that could kill them.
I agree that developing a vaccine will potentially be a waste of money, because as is clearly apparent in this article, there are tons of people, even doctors, who will just outright refuse to take it anyway. This isn't going to go away until everyone catches it and hundreds of thousands of people die, simply because people refuse to voluntarily take whatever precautions they can when it comes to the way they influence the health of those around them.
The rest of the world is incredibly smart imo to just block us from entering their countries. They should build walls to keep us out, and keep themselves safe from our collective ignorance.
That information has long been available on OSHA's site, informed workplace safety standards, and should include a review of papers in the last decade that studied whether masks offered any benefit in preventing transmission of virii. Protip: not one study of the ~half dozen or so that have been undertaken since 2015 has shown any benefit to the use of n95 masks in preventing viral transmission.
That is absolutely false, and you cannot provide one actual peer-reviewed study to support it.
Hypoxia and hypercapnia are known hazards of n95 masks, particularly for folks with compromised breathing.
I suggest ignoring rumors and propaganda, and looking personally and directly into the research regarding masks, which reveals that they are in fact more dangerous than SARS2. Also, do consider the CFR has now been shown to be lower than for seasonal flu.

I also state that part of the problem is the thickening political polarity and tribalism that's tearing our country apart right now. I believe in individual freedom above all else, to the point of borderline anarchy. I wholly agree that people shouldn't be made to wear a mask. The government should have never stepped in to begin with, and we should let any new virus sweep through and kill whomever doesn't take measures to keep themselves safe from any and all dangers. We know viruses can spread across the planet, so it shouldn't be up to the government to protect us from threats that result in a negligible death count. I apologize if my inflammatory comment didn't reflect my overall viewpoints.

Since in your comment you all but directly accused folks of murder by not wearing masks, did directly state, falsely, that masks have ever been shown to reduce viral transmission, and expressed skepticism about the dangers of masks, which I have long been aware of as I have to paint from time to time, I thought to provide factual counterpoint.

However, I did want to restate my recommendation that before you make 'inflammatory comment', to use your words, you undertake to look into the issue at hand. Knowing the facts is the best way to an informed decision IMHO.
Given your agreement with me, and I'm sure most Americans of sound mind, that malicious government has far overreached it's authority in this matter, and also that we are unnecessarily and tragically divided, I can only point to my last post which is on that very topic.
