The jugglers nightmare

in #health11 months ago

It happens to us all at some point, an injury that causes us to miss work.

Back when i was an employee this wasnt as much of a worry, because it was possible to take sick days and keep some income coming in.

Now that im self employed though, there is no sick pay, there is only lost work. Even worse, some of the events that im no longer able to perform at are for new, high value clients. This means missing an individual event isnt just a single missed fee, but probably several thousand euros over the remainder of this year.🤦‍♂️

Thankfully i should still able to perform on stilts, which is generally the majority of my work. The timing of the injury is a bit inconvenient though (is there ever a good time to get injured?), as most of mygigs over the next few weeks require the use of both of my hands 🙌

On a positive note, it looks like my return to proper physical training is paying off; i mean take a look at the vascularity of my arm!? Woot! 🤪
