Aging has really its tolls on ones health. This is particularly true when in our younger years we failed to observe a healthy lifestyle and i would be honest enough I am one who never practice it in my youth.
In my youth i seldom eat vegetable and fish ,seldom drink water and is a certified night owl...disco , when i was in my late 30s and in my late forties and early fifties frequent ballroom dancing
So after i celebrated my 55 birthday i resolved to have a life style change. I eat more fish, vegetables. avoid fatty and sweets Drink more water ,tried to avoid nocturnal activities and tried to exercise regularly Some friends were taunting me .....too late the hero, but still i tried. This because an aunt told me once, that, now that I am in my late fifties I should take better care of myself ,because at 60 everything will break loose.
Truly, a year after I turned 60 i experienced some physical and emotional changes. I experienced aches here and there, i gained weight even if I as eating the same amount of food, i have a hard time sleeping. Even if I sleep at 8 pm i will automatically wake up at 4 am i became so sensitive sometimes irritated and annoyed at slightest discomforts.
A week before I undergo my routine check up, I really observed my route because i can feel a tightening in my heart. The Doctor took some test and prescribed a medicine to accordingly prevent a heart attack. But 2 weeks after i been taking the medicine i still feel the same heaviness. By the way , the doctor is a diabetologist as I have experience elevation of my glucose.
So early this morning I went to see a family friend a cardiologist if only to have peace of mind.
After some questions the lady Doctor ordered that i undergo an ECG. I was surprised that at the laboratory where i will have an ECG a number of people were waiting to undergo the procedures. A group of nuns were there as they were also advised to take the test because they were also suffering the same symptoms i have!
These nuns were younger than me and i came to know that like me they are also afraid and nervous of what they are undergoing. They want to have the check up for their peace of mind too.!
Noted other patients were also in their prime.
FInally its my turn for my ECG. My doctor read the result and give me a prescription! The young nun jested to me that the had now at least a peace of mind as what they are undergoing
is not really that too serious and that they only want to have a healthy body as their body is the temple of their spirit..
and i do agree with them....29216581_10211845891363799_8112006290629890382_n.jpg
