I want to introduce you to the tradition of Christmas in Ukraine

Every year, Christian families are waiting for Christmas on January 7 at their homes for the arrival of a den. This is a traveling theater, which celebrates the newborn Jesus Christ in Bethlehem from home to house. The vertep is a prayerful glorification of God through a theatrical act and comic display of everyday life, which has been followed for several centuries in succession.
Ersha's written mention of the vertep is dated back in 1666 and it is contained in the materials of the Lviv stauropigial fraternity.

Then the deck consisted of a two- or three-story wooden box, where on the third or second floor showed the Christmas drama, and on the second and first or only the first one - a mechanically tied satirical-household interlude. These floors were interpreted as "underground", "heaven" and "earth" according to the Christian tradition.

Participants in the crochet prepare a pre-religious show, distribute roles, teach verse texts, sew and tailor costumes. The actors are usually Angel, Shepherds, Three Kings, the Jew and his wife Sura, Devil, Death, Herod King and his warriors, Kozak and others

That's how we celebrate Christmas in Ukraine.
