Palak Paneer - Healthy and Tasty Recipe

Today i would like to share the recipe of Palak Paneer It's a Northern Indian Cuisine in which Cottage Cheese(paneer) made with a combination of spinach(palak) puree, a blend of dry spices and the main ingredient paneer. It's name defining itself, creamy Texture Gravy in bright Green Colour with the taste of Paneer become my favourite. There are many ways to make Palak Paneer, i would like to share mine recipe, it give you Bright green in colour. I have seen that not everyone makes Bright green gravy. Many people's gravy is dark green in color which does not look tempting. Yes it's green colour and Creamy Gravy, and delicious in taste become my favourite.

Ingredients 📃

• 1 Fresh bunch spinach.
• 1 cloves garlic.
• 1 inch ginger.
• 1 Green chilli(can add more).
• 2 tbsp oil
• 1 tsp cumin
• 1 bay leaf
• 2 Medium sized onion.
• 2 Medium Sized Tomato.
• ½ tsp coriander powder
• Salt to Taste
• 1 tbsp cream
• 250 Grams cubes of paneer(Cottage Cheese).
• 1 tsp garam masala
• 1 tsp kasuri methi.

Frstly, in large boiling pan get the water to a boil,Once the water comes to a boil, Spinach. Strain the Hot Water.

Then immediately drop the boiled Spinach leaves into ice-cold water, to retain its bright green Colour.

Transfer the blanched palak into the mixer jar. Keep it Aside.

I always prefer homemade paneer(Cottage Cheese). Because it is healthy and freshly prepared. Cut the Cottage cheese into the cubes. Also keep it Aside


Process to make Gravy 🧑‍🍳

Now take mixer grinder, add Onion, Cloves, Green Chilli and Ginger. Grind it well to make Smooth paste.

Take the Kadai or pan, Heat the oil, put buy leaf, cumin seeds, Asafoetida, add the onion Paste into the kadai, Saute it for 5 to 7 min at low flame or untill it get dark brown in Colour.

Now make the Tomato puree in the Same Jar.

Once you onion paste get golden brown in Colour, add the Tomato Gravy into it. Further keeping the flame low, add the Salt, coriander powder. Sute until the spices turn aromatic.

Now add the spinach puree into it, for 5 min on low flame keep stirring.

dd 1 cup water and adjust the consistency as required, add the Garam Masala into it.

Nw add 1 tbsp cream and 1 tbsp paneer. Mix well making sure the consistency is attained as required.

Serve the Palak paneer with chatpati or Naan for more tasty an delicious flavour.

I would like to have it Jeera Rice (cumin Rice) as I did heavy breakfast, That's why I didn't feel like eating it with rotis and parathas, so I ate it with jeera rice. In my next blog i would like to share the Jeera Rice recipe in Next Blog.
