Do you crave chicken shawarma? | Foodie experience 🌯😋 (Esp/Ing)

Para mí comer es un gran placer, no puedo concebir la vida sin disfrutar de las exquisiteces que se me antojan, tanto de platillos que exigen gran elaboración como de preparaciones sencillas y rápidas. En este caso, hablaré de otra experiencia foodie que me trae de vuelta a la comunidad, la cual se cocina al calor de la Feria de comida ubicada en último piso del **C.C Crab Bay Market**.

For me, eating is a great pleasure, I cannot conceive life without enjoying the delicacies that I crave, both dishes that require great elaboration as well as simple and quick preparations. In this case, I will talk about another foodie experience that brings me back to the community, which is cooked in the heat of the food fair located on the top floor of the C.C. Crab Bay Market.

He visitado este lugar en reiteradas ocasiones, quería probar algo diferente esta vez y luego de revisar los opciones, me incliné por un shawarma de pollo. Me senté a esperar en un ambiente ameno, la música era de mi agrado, me entretuve observando los videos musicales de Marc Anthony y Tony Vega. El tiempo pasó muy rápido, aunque si soy sincera, es una interpretación subjetiva, sobre todo, si se está en buena compañía y la estamos pasando bien.

I have visited this place several times, I wanted to try something different this time and after reviewing the options, I opted for a chicken shawarma. I sat down to wait in a pleasant atmosphere, the music was to my liking, I was entertained watching the music videos of Marc Anthony and Tony Vega. The time went by very fast, although if I am honest, it is a subjective interpretation, especially if you are in good company and having a good time.

Al oír mi nombre, indicando que mi comida estaba lista, salté de la alegría, era como ganarme un bingo. Retiré mi pedido, el cual venía dividido en dos partes, tomé una y di el primer mordisco. Para mi sorpresa, el sabor era de pan árabe con una cantidad exagerada de lechuga, cilantro y ligeras dosis de salsa. Pensé que en el siguiente mordisco el panorama cambiaría, pero no fue así. Por tal razón, decidí darle el resto a mi esposo.

When I heard my name, indicating that my food was ready, I jumped with joy, it was like winning a bingo. I took my order, which was divided into two parts, took one and took the first bite. To my surprise, the taste was of Arabic bread with an exaggerated amount of lettuce, cilantro and light doses of sauce. I thought the next bite would change the picture, but it did not. For that reason, I decided to give the rest to my husband.

Sin embargo, ocurrió algo inesperado, la otra mitad de shawarma era totalmente distinta, tenía bastante pollo y estaba aderezada en su punto. Nunca imaginé que esta preparación fuera de esta manera, o tal vez a alguien se le olvidó mezclar los ingredientes antes de enrollar el pan. Si tuviera que compartir sería un juego de azar, ¿quien se comería las lechugas y quien se comería el pollo? 😅. ¡Divertida locura gastronómica! Quizás sea yo la equivocada y este es un nuevo estilo para preparar shawarma 😅.

However, something unexpected happened, the other half of shawarma was totally different, it had plenty of chicken and was seasoned just right. I never imagined this preparation to be this way, or maybe someone forgot to mix the ingredients before rolling the bread. If I had to share it would be a game of chance, who would eat the lettuce and who would eat the chicken? 😅 Fun gastronomic madness! Maybe I'm the wrong one and this is a new style to prepare shawarma 😅.
