Found This Really Great Wall Mount For My Guitar

It's been awhile since I posted to this community. I've been playing a lot. I'm just shy and not ready to play in front of people. I have enjoyed listening to your playing though and learning from some of the stuff you all are working on. I am planning on posting some progress videos around autumn. Working on a couple things to share.

Anyway, I found this really great wall mount for my guitar. I've been trying to improve the look of the office/studio and thought mounting the guitar on the wall would make great decor and also serve as a functional guitar stand.

This is the Sondery Guitar Wall Mount. Amazon offered several different kits but I watched the video for this one and really liked the ease of installation. On top of that, the price was right at just $17.

I found guitar hooks and kits ranging from $7 to over $100.

Pretty basic packaging, nothing fancy. Let's look inside.

The kit came with everything I needed. A Phillips-head screwdriver and hammer is all that's needed for tools. Installation was super simple. The instructions were written in poor English but made sense. 😆 You get instructions for installing it into brick, wood or drywall. I opted for the drywall installation.

Apply the sticker to the wall where you want to mount your guitar. Slowly screw the supplied screws into the cross-hairs for the guide holes.

The kit came with mounting hardware for wood, brick and drywall. I used the drywall hardware.

Once you have your holes insert the plastic anchors.

I needed a hammer to start the anchors.

I should have taken a better picture. The anchor almost looks like a nail at the start. I pounded that in until I reached the threads then screwed it in slowly with the phillips-head screwdriver.

Now I just screwed the screws into the mounting anchors.

You simply stick the hook into the hole and twist it into place.

We're all done here. Lets hang the guitar.

And there you have it. One vintage Squire Strat that I've had since I was 16! I ended up taking the guitar strap off. It displayed better without it. I'm pretty happy with the look, and this is the first time this guitar has ever had a stand. It's been bounced around from place to place without a stand or gig bag for a little under 40 years. I'm really surprised it's as in as good of shape as it is.
