Hi all, how are you and I hope you are all well. Let me share some photos, my entry on this occasion is some photos of the insect species that I can capture, namely the green fly (lucilia sericata).
I shot this photo of flies precisely in the park and not far from the garbage dump. The high population of this waste has resulted in many problems, one of which is wet waste so that the development of insect species, namely the green fly (Lucilia sericata). The accumulation of organic waste is a problem because it is very disturbing, especially for human life. The green fly (Lucilia sericata) when laying eggs, this insect lays its eggs in groups.
Green fly eggs are white with an average length of 1.5 mm and a diameter of 0.5 mm, hatching within 9 hours after the mother green fly lays eggs. A female green fly when laying eggs with the number of eggs produced reaches 85 to 120, so the process of hatching green fly eggs is very influential on the environmental temperature, the higher the environmental temperature can accelerate the hatching of green fly eggs.
This type of green fly has a body posture of 10 to 14 mm and is 2 weeks old and even up to a month that is 4 weeks, the difference between the sexes of these green flies can be distinguished based on their characteristics. The male green fly has the characteristic that the distance between the eyes is narrow (compound), and the female green fly is not too complex, perhaps this feature is because the female is larger in size than the male green fly.
