The UEFA champions league draw had just been made an it's an interesting one for the English teams. Which teams from England will be doing well? I think this year's champions league will be an interesting one.

Manchester City

Manchester City are the defending champions and I expect them to go far in this year's competition. But do I think the Citizens can win it again? Yes they have got the quality and squad depth. But we all know that European club competition can be very unpredictable. I think Man City will top their group and will go all the way to the semi-final.

Arsenal

Arsenal are back in the champions league and it's going to be an interesting one. Arsenal have a young squad who are not really experienced in European club competition. But with the teams in their group, Arsenal has a chance to reach the knock out stages and even top the group. It's good to have European club football back at the Emirates. I don't expect them to win this competition but we cannot write them off completely.

Newcastle United

This few seasons has been amazing for Newcastle. With Eddie Howe I feel this team has the capacity to go far in the competition. I know a lot of people have already written off Newcastle but for me, I think this team will shock a lot of people. Do I expect them to win the competition? No, but I think they might progress to the knockout stage. They play a beautiful brand of football which any team would be proud of. I sincerely think they will get good results from Milan and Dortmund.

Manchester United

The group looks easy but with how the red devils are playing currently I don't think they will give a count of themselves in this year's competition. Galatasaray might nip them to the second position this group. With Man Utd's inconsistency one cannot predict how they will fair in this year's competition. But I know they have a good coach who can tinker with the team and grind out results.

The English teams will do well in this year's competition. But winning the competition will be a difficult one. But one can never tell, football is full of surprises. I would love to see an all English final but I know it's going to be difficult. I hope they all qualify for the knock out stages.
