Hey there my Hive friends and followers!
This is a follow-up to this post that I published here on my blog 10 days ago. I´m so happy, proud and excited to inform you that my hometown club BK Opava won the finals and became the new Czech Basketball Champions :)
We won the final series against BK Decin 3:1 and all those games were fascinating basketball shows. There was everything - extreme emotions, crowded arenas, electrifying atmosphere, stunning both team and individual performances, thrilling finishes decided with last second shots etc.
Here are some videos from the Game 4. The first two are mine (just like the thumbnail shot). The third video is from Opavský Deník and the last one is a funny interview that our head coach Petr Czudek gave to a TV reporter. When she told him that the fans might want to build a statue for him after such a massive achievement, he said that he doesn´t want any statue because birds would shit on it :D

Když už jsem tu minulý týden zmínil obrovský úspěch opavských basketbalistů v podobě vyřazení dlouholetého hegemona české basketbalové scény Nymburka v semifinále letošního play-off, tak se sluší doplnit i to, jak dopadlo to finále. Ano, tušíte správně :) Vyhráli ho naši kluci z BK Opava poté, co porazili srdnatě bojující Válečníky z Děčína 3:1 na zápasy. Titul českých basketbalových šampionů se tak přesně po 20 letech vrací k nám do Slezska, odkud si ho na ty nekonečně dlouhé dvě dekády v červnu roku 2003 "propůjčil" zmiňovaný Nymburk.
První tři přiložená videa zachycují atmosféru v naší hale při rozhodujícím finálovém zápase. Na tom čtvrtém je dnes už legendární rozhovor našeho trenéra Petra Czudka pro ČT Sport. Pokud vás basket nezajímá, pusťte si aspoň ten rozhovor. "Čouda" je normálně ledově chladný kliďas a emoce dává najevo jen velmi zřídka, ale když vyhrajete po 20 letech titul (ten poslední v roce 2003 vyhrál taky, ale tenkrát ještě jako hráč), tak to prostě musí ven a to se pak dějí věci, že se ani komentátoři ČT nestačí divit :) Musím říct, že to letošní play-off jsem si hodně užil...

Congratulations, man! The atmosphere looks great. This week in the Turkish Super League, my favorite team Galatasaray became champion. I celebrated like crazy and I plan to write a post about it soon.

I didn't vote for some of your earlier posts because you used images from social media like Facebook without details of copyright information. I could not ascertain whether they were in breach of copyright and so no vote for you.
To be safe use only your own images or free images or use images under the "Fair use" exception to copyright. Always provide "copyright information" displayed below your image providing details of copyright information (i.e the name of the owner and the license details).
Simply providing a secondary source like Facebook does not help. Make sure you provide the "original" source of the image where the details of the owner and the copyright information are available.

Thanks for your feedback. Usually, I post only my own photos here on my Hive blog but with sport games that I personally attend, I sometimes forget to take pictures because I´m so busy supporting my team and so absorbed by the atmosphere :) I will make sure to source the sources properly next time ;)

Opožděná OBROVSKÁ gratulace! Jsem rád, že Vám to letos vyšlo, protože vyřadit Nymburk a pak to finále nezvládnout, by asi nakonec možná mrzelo dvojnásob. A byla to fakt dobrá reklama na českej basketbal!
Czudek byl nejvíc. U toho jsem se náramně bavil. :D
Díky moc! Bylo to fakt krásné a intenzivní, celé to play-off :) Ještě nikdy se nestalo, aby se tým z předkola dostal až do finále, natož aby ho vyhrál a ještě u toho ukončil hegemona posledních dvou dekád. Byla to fakt nezapomenutelná jízda :) Čouda je šoumen. Moderátoři si ho k rozhovorům zvou velmi rádi, ale zároveň se vždy tak trochu bojí, co z něho zase vypadne :D
