Happy Easter to everyone who celebrates today! 🐣

This Easter I didn't have time to decorate the Easter eggs as it is the tradition in our family. I have never been good at that, but it is not the real reason they didn't get painted this year. We went on a trip on Thursday and Friday, and yesterday my son had a concert with the string quartet he plays with. The Easter eggs were just boiled but they stayed naked. 😁

However, some rocks got a bit of paint on them.

This afternoon the set of 46 acrylic paint markers arrived, as a perfect Easter gift that the delivery man could bring me. It was perfect to wake me up from the long nap that I took after lunch. (I forgot that we would sleep one hour less and went to sleep quite late so I was really sleepy... the alarm clock had no mercy this morning and reminded me that Sunday morning I have to work even though I slept just four hours).

My sleepiness disappeared when I got this package. The unboxing happened immediately, on the crime scene where I will be practising this activity: Playing with colours and rocks. I say playing, as I am at the level of a 10-year-old kid (or younger hahaha) and this indeed is just an activity that I enjoy like children.

These are the colours that the box contains. There are 6 neon, 8 metallic, 10 pastel, 10 glitter and 12 classic colours. These acrylic paint markers are made with non-toxic and odourless ink, so I think we don't have to worry about chemicals and their possible side effects if I leave a painted rock in a public space or as a gift to someone. Also, it says that the colours would not fade and that are waterproof.

To use them, first you have to shake the marker you want to use and press the tip so it gets soaked in the paint. In the video I recorded you will see that shake - press before I draw something.

About the drawing and painting in this video... As it is Easter I wanted to draw a little chicken coming out from the broken eggshell. The biggest lesson I learned here is that when you draw a line that is not perfect, don't try to correct it as it will get worse!! Much worse! 😂

I painted the eggshell and had to leave it to dry. (In the meantime, I was drawing another Happy Easter rock too.) Then I added the chicken and again had to leave it to dry, wrote Happy Easter and messed up everything when I wanted to draw a black line as a contour. 😤

It turned out too thick in the end, I don't like it but the good thing is that I don't have to go to work the next week - I have a lot of time to practise. Guess where I will be spending my time hahaha. Yes, on the crime scene where the rocks get their colours and designs.

If you watch this little video you can hear some background sound - those are the birds that were very talkative this afternoon. The video is sped up (8 times) so you don't get too bored. 😅

You have greetings from that little Easter Chicken who also has googly eyes, like the ladybug from the other day :))

Those are some fun colors! I had my eyes laid on the glitter ones haha. Drawing on pebbles look a lot easier than on eggs because of the shape lol.

For me nothing is easy lol 😂 but yes, rocks are a bit less rounded than eggs haha, here is the advantage. Yeah, the glittering colours will be nice, I still have to try all of them out 😍

Happy Easter!
Our family tradition is to color eggs, not to draw or paint... I didn't think stones could be painted for Easter.
A long time ago I painted stones myself. Bigger stones...

Very nice video and you prove that who is an artist is an artist in many fields. You draw very beautifully, I like your stones very much. I also like the crime scene... beautiful tiles on the work table.

You've made me want to draw some stones myself but I know I won't now. Maybe, someday...

You know you can make mosaics out of pieces of painted eggshell? I used to keep the dyed eggshells for Easter...

Thank you :)

The same here, my mom and sister paint the eggs and sometimes make some designs, with the leaves of flowers and grass.

When I saw your collection of rocks, I thought of you and how you would like to paint them. And that I would like to see those. I am sure they would be nice and artistic, or minimalistic - the point is to enjoy the process and when we have a painted rock ready give it to someone as a sign of kindness or a gift. 😃

Mosaics from pieces of eggshell? That is creative!

p.s. I am looking forward to seeing some of your decorated rocks ;)

Well, I said I painted a long time ago (the 70s). I borrowed a book from the American Library in Bucharest in which I saw this technique of painting on stones. Now I don't have any more and don't remember what happened to them.

When I saw your stones and the enthusiasm with which you paint them I remembered what I did in my youth. I'd like to do it again... and I hope to. If I paint a few stones myself then surely you will be the first to see them.

Thank you for awakening this desire in me!

Thank you for awakening this desire in me!

You are welcome ;))

I spent some time today trying to figure out what works for me the best as a base, so I bought more paint today 😂

I'm waiting to see a new post with a bunch of painted rocks.

Remember.Dont try to correct the line jajaja jajaja jajaja...Veo que ahora sí tienes una buena batería de colores. Have fun!! Cual es esa tradición ( Easter)

Learn and remember mipiano, learn! And remember 😂

Cual es esa tradición

here is the tradition

And here you can see how they look like

Gracias por contarme de esta linda tradición..Eres húngara Waoo! feliz día

Those are so fun. Rocks are a great substitute to eggs. Good thinking. I love the googly eyes that you added.

Happy Easter 🐰 🐣

I know, this painting on rocks is addictive, as the other day someone said. I have had three packages of googly eyes sleeping in one drawer - now they are used :))

😄👏🏻

Happy Easter 🐣🐰 - I think it was a nice way to celebrate, practising painting on kindness rocks.

Thank you 🐣

I hope you had a great weekend spent in love and good vibes!

You know, practising is always good, for Easter or any other occasion 🖌

Thank you, MP. 🌞 Buenos días.

The stones are so beautiful and with lovely motifs. Ideal for these days that have passed. I hope you had a lovely Easter with your loved ones!❤️

The motifs will have to get a bit better, but it is much fun! :)) Thank you, and I hope you also had a good weekend 😇

Quiet weekend, waiting for my uncle to arrive in Argentina. Thank you!

I plan to go to the beach when the weather improves to look for rocks!

Yeah, the weather. I think we brought the rain to the coast from Madrid the other day 😂

It rained all week!!! hahaha But now I'll be calmer and I'll reorganise the days and activities and if it rains I'll go to a museum hahaha

Happy Easter! Beautiful gift you got yourself, those acrylic markers are a marvel!!!!! How much learning and fun awaits you next week, lots of rocks will emerge. Sadly...as usual I couldn't watch your video 😬.
Remember....never try to correct a line you got wrong 🤭. Happy week.

Yes, a great gift I got for myself. Husband paid for it and a delivery man brought it hahaha, my part is to have fun with these colours. Don't be sad you couldn't watch the video, it is better as it might cause you a heart attack at the end of the video hahaha. But I will remember, I will remember, never correct the lines that went wrong (how easy it is on I've to edit... en la pintura no es tan fácil corregir jajaja)

😂😂😂

You did it!

I did 😂

Happy Easter!! Good to see you have some artistic work, in those eggs rocks 😂😅 I had a couple of day free too here in island wish I using to panting too, have good Sunday señorita Mipiano de los huevos de Pascua!! 😂😂

Thank you and Happy Easter to you too, señor de los caimanes pascuales 😂

Espero que todo va bien en el nuevo entorno, y espero puedes pintar algo soon. Allí hay rocas jejeje? Rocas pumartísticas 😁

Looks like a lot of fun. At this rate, you'll get through your pebbles in nontim3 and will need to go to the beach again!

Hahaha, true! 😂

But luckily, there are plenty of pebbles and rocks and a walk there is never a bad idea 😅

DSC_7037.JPG

Woah, now you made me want some of these for my drawings also!!

They are cool. The other day I bought just a few markers but it is much more expensive to buy them in that way, one by one.

Get yourself a whole pack and enjoy 🎨😇

@tipu curate

Thank you 😇

Well well, your week was wonderful. But nicer the gift of your bookmarks and your decorated stones. I loved them. Happy April. 😘🤗

Happy new month to you too, I love my new toys, these colourful markers (en inglés los marcadores pueden ser traducidos como bookmarks, aunque en este caso no lo son, no son marcadores para libros 😉)

Here, they are called plumons.😘

I love your video! That was fun to watch.

These things do fill the heart of our inner child, don't they?

So much fun !

Fun to watch but fun to play with colours and stones too haha. ;)

True, I do feel like my inner child woke up, completely :D

I see, many get busy on important occasions. But then you did something really productive, I loved that painted rock in the video... 💝

I had fun opening this new box, and hopefully, the rocks will improve :D
