I really enjoy playing GU and I believe with all the new players and game development this will be a great year for GU!
It's time consuming to get the maximum out every week, but from my DO Order pack I got Sole Survivor what is worth 9$.
These weekend packs, the GODS token and the funny gameplay makes it worth playing it.
I am totally F2P and it's possible to rank up and earn a decent amount without investing anything.
I think things will really open up when they make it possible to forge higher shine cards. Since shine is going to impact your daily play to earn so much. But you are correct in saying 2022 is a giant step in the right direction for the game. Mobile is what I think will blow the roof of the game. When that goes live the influx of new players should be massive. Also $GODS staking will make a nice extra stream of income for people. F2P is possible your journey may just be longer then others. But if you reach the results you want then it is worth it. We are still really early so no where for us all to go but way up. And nice grab I feel war is going to be extremely powerful with the CSR so Sole Survivor is a solid pick up. I dropped you a follow. I hope you keep me up to date on your Gods Unchained journey. I am curious about the future rewards with play to earn and staking. I agree with you that mobile will be a huge step! This will get a lot more players into the game.
This is my 4th week now, just tried it out and wasn't sure about what to do, but I managed to get good rewards during that time. I am still not sure what deck / god I will focus. Just try some stuff and get more and more collection cards with every Pack.
With the Layer 1 gas fees it's not so easy to spend a small amount of money.

I would not worry about a specific god just yet. The core set refresh should shake things up some. Then you can see which god fits your playstlye. The layer 1 fees are sort of a bummer. But if you wanted to you could use your $GODS tokens to buy cards you really want. That way you are not paying any gas. And you earned the $GODS token just for playing. I myself and holding my $GODS but many people are buying cards they want with them.
Looks like when I am into the game and know the meta they will change the core set and I have to start new haha
I haven't spend any $GODS token, because I save them for later usecase like staking or forging.
I thought about buying Guild Enforcer, because I think it's a good card with the armor and neutral, so I would be flexible with all gods.
I will just keep collecting DO cards and $GODS and keep an eye on the market 😃
