Hi, everyone. Welcome to my post. In the Social Media Challenge, I will discuss anything about SPLINTERLANDS, it can be about cards, abilities, rulesets, battle reviews, End of Season results, or my playing experience.

In this post, I will share about the event held by SPLINTERLANDS to welcome the Bitcoin Halving event.

Less than a Week

The Baron's Bounty Bitcoin Halving Promo Event has been running for over a week. And in less than a week, the event will end. For those who don't know, Baron's Bounty Bitcoin Halving Promo Event is an event held by SPLINTERLANDS to welcome the biggest event in the cryptocurrency world, namely BITCOIN HALVING which is held every 4 years. BITCOIN HALVING ended on April 20, while Baron's Bounty Bitcoin Halving Promo Event started before the event, on April 16.

In the Baron's Bounty Bitcoin Halving Promo Event, players or investors will be allowed to purchase 2 promo cards that have special abilities (HALVING abilities) in celebration of BITCOIN HALVING. HALVING is an ability that reduces the Attack power of the target by half (6 to 3, 3 to 1, etc.). The 2 promo cards this time can also be used in 2 different elements, so if in a battle, one element is not available, there is a possibility that we can still use the card in combination with cards in other elements according to the aspect of the promo card.

The first Promo Card is Baron Fyatt. It is a legendary card that can be used in Fire Element and Death Element. Just like legendary cards, Baron Fyatt also has advantages. Apart from the fact that he has the HALVING ability, he also has the SCATTER SHOT ability which chooses his target randomly in each round. Baron Fyatt already has these 2 abilities since levels 1 and 2. While at level 3 and 4, he will receive 1 additional ability.

The combination of HALVING and SCATTER SHOT ability can be troublesome because if you are lucky, the Attack power of all your opponent's monsters will be reduced to only half. And that will bring an advantage in the match.

As for the second promo card, it is Henchling Enforcer. Although not as great as Baron Fyatt which is a legendary card, Henchling Enforcer which is a rare card and can be played in Water or Life elements can be an option in choosing a card that has HALVING ability for those 2 elements that cannot use Baron Fyatt. Indeed, at levels 1 to 3, Henchling Enforcer only has HALVING as its ability. But at levels 4 and 7, he will get additional abilities that might be useful in battle under certain conditions.

At level 4, Henchling Enforcer will have the TRUE STRIKE ability that makes his attacks will not miss. This will be useful for dealing with opponents who rely on abilities that reduce the accuracy of attacks from our monsters. While at level 7, he will have the CAMOUFLAGE ability which will be useful for avoiding monster attacks that are specialized in attacking monsters that are in the back position or that attack monsters of a certain type.

What are the benefits of buying promo cards during an event?

In addition to being able to get promo cards, players or investors who buy during the event will have the opportunity to win one of these prizes:

• 500 PLOT tokens
• 100 Alpha packs
• 250 Beta packs
• 500 Untamed Packs
• 50 Essence Orb Packs
• 100 Azmare Dice Packs
• 20 Runi NFTs

Players and investors who spend 10,000 points (DEC / Credits) will get 1 chance (aka raffle ticket) to win the above prizes. So to increase the probability of winning one of the above prizes, quite a lot of money is required.

In addition, some prizes can be obtained if you are in the top 200 and top 20 players or investors who make the most purchases. For the top 200, players or investors will get special in-game titles:

• 1-10 - "The Burninator" Legendary Title
• 11-60 - "The Incinerator" Epic Title
• 61-200 - "The Scorcher" Rare Title

As for the top 20, the player or investor will get some free promo cards (With the amount listed below :

To be ranked in the top 200, players or investors need to spend around $500.

As for the top 20, you will have to spend $4,000.

And if you want to be the first, you have to spend around $20,000.

The amount is an estimate if you buy the promo card with Credits. If you buy using DEC, then the money to be spent is slightly lower.

The number of points they get is also affected by the Multiplier, which will decrease (and only become x 1 on the last day of the event).
