- 10 entries: 25
- 15 entries: 30 Hive
I'm also accepting any donations for the prize pool n.n
For our 4th entry on the improving skills contest we need to work on our perspective, the way in which we see a scene, can be a little complex but with a little bit of practice you will get it right and the result will be awesome! πβ€
Let's start with previous weeks winners! this time also will be 2 of them β€
First winner: @librepensadora - 10 hive
I'm just amazed with the use of colors and shadows, but it have also an awesome work on the perspective, you will need this for this week contest β€ check the original post here π
Second winner: @zhoten - 5 hive
I really really love this piece, you are awesome! π really nice, simple but well done aesthetic, the smoke animation is just perfect, great job! check the original post here π
This week there's no random winner n.n let's hope we can do one the next one <3
Thank you so much @atlantiss for taking part on this contests! :D Hope to see more of you guys participating π
What is perspective?
Is basically what gives depth to the draw, when you are working on a drawing, or a canvas for example, it is in 2D right? if you simply put a square, let's say you turn that square into a building, it will be just that a plain 2D building. the perspective is what gives you the capability of making that same 2D building into a 3D object, your canvas will not be 2D anymore as you use something called vanishing points.
You can see a vanishing point as the far away section of a pic, the point were the objects that you are seeing become just little dots, and that's what marks the direction of your draws, in a street it will be set on the end of it, or as i posted on the image above, the point where all the 4 purple lines meet.
There can be more than 1 vanishing point on an image so you can experiment with your work β€
It can be a little tricky to understand the concept of perspective at first so it's ok if you don't get it right at the beginning but that what we are here for, practice. Mine is not even close to be perfect but still working on it π
The minimum prize pool is 15 hive base and will increase if we got more entries plus all the donations will be added to it :3
