Whether or not we want to accept it, we in many ways control our destiny. As my dad always says, "The way you lay your bed, that's how you'll sleep on it." We don't give enough thought to these simple truths of life, and that's why sometimes, life seems more difficult that it should be.

Only when you go through the pains of sowing a seed today, will you have something to eat tomorrow. Except you're a child, depending on your parents or someone for your daily bread, will you have the luxury of wasting your time and days, without sowing any seeds. When I say sow a seed - I mean put effort into something that will yield good results for you in the future.

Recently, a childhood friend of mine came begging me for some money as he always does. Severally, in the past, I've told him that he wasn't sowing any seeds that will ensure a better future for himself. I advised him to go learn a skill, and after some time when he gets good at it, he will be able to earn with that skill - that's sowing a seed. But he never listens. I still assist him with some money when he asks, but I've told him that he needs to learn how to sow a seed for himself, so he can be financially independent.

We always need to spend time to think, and look at what direction our lives are headed. Then have a plan. A good plan will require you to take certain reasonable steps. By actually taking those steps, you're sowing a seed that you'll reap tomorrow. In many cases, we are the architect of our own happiness or sadness.

I've come to understand that the main reason so many people do not sow a seed is because they lack believe and optimism, that the seed they sow will yield. These are very narrow minded people, and very pessimistic people. They don't see beyond today and now. And there's no way, you'll build a better future for yourself, if you're so focused on today and right now - you need to think of the future, in order to plan for it.

And above all, you need to be optimistic that your efforts will not go in vain. The truth will always remain that life is uncertain by nature. We cannot say what tomorrow holds, but we have to be optimistic. We have to believe that the seed we put efforts to sow today, will be worth it by tomorrow.

This is the singular distinction in the mindset of high performing people and low performing people. People who perform well consistently, have so much believe and optimism that they will. As a result - they work harder to improve themselves, knowing that the seed they sow today, they'll reap tomorrow.

Imagine the life of perhaps, the greatest showman - Micheal Jackson. When he was alive, he had shows that thousands of people will watch him performing on stage for hours. The reason he was always able to perform successfully, was because he practiced really rigorously, and had the believe that when you practice and prepare yourself adequately for big moments, you'll tend to succeed.

We have to master the emotions behind having believe and optimism about our goals, then we can sow our seeds, and be positive minded that we will reap something amazing in the future.

True , we should always remember that our destiny is in our hands and we should fight whatever challenges that may want to stop us from achieving our goals.

You are welcome

It takes so much for one to remain optimistic especially in a world full of bumps and chaos.

The truth will always remain that life is uncertain by nature. We cannot say what tomorrow holds, but we have to be optimistic.

Many people use the excuse "you don't know what tomorrow holds" to ruin their lives. They think so much about the future and they forget about the present.
