Love Elf | Valentine's Day Inspiration

I had this wig that I bought a long time ago and I was waiting to put it to good use, I always wanted to make an elf with that wig and today my moment finally arrived.

So I invented a love elf, I really had no idea what to do but I didn't want to side with the Valentine's theme one of the most commercial days, we always talk about this day and sometimes we don't even know the origin. Valentine's Day is something that has existed since the 5th century and has very diverse stories, its origins are religious, believe it or not, and among one of those stories there is a Valentine who will celebrate marriages in hiding, it is said that he married soldiers with his fiancées, this happened at a time when Christianity was completely prohibited so doing this was an act of rebellion and total contempt, so Valentine was eventually discovered and sent to be beheaded, this is just one of the various stories that exist.

In any case, centuries ago, using Valentine's Day to show love, where it was important to be honest, they were moments to show affection, moments to recite verses that came from the heart, everything was quite a poetic environment until today where little by little Friendship was also integrated and today it is already impossible not to know about Valentine's Day since everyone takes the opportunity to sell something.

Why did I represent this day with an elf? Well, we know that elves are mythological creatures, that they live in the forests because they are part of nature, fertile, immortal beings with magical powers. And now what do we know about love? We know it's a feeling, we can't see it but we feel it, it's part of human nature... I asked myself these questions and while I was thinking I came to the conclusion that love is also immortal as long as someone exists, love is also magic because it makes you do even what you thought impossible, love transmitting life so that with the right conditions it is also fertility. I just mixed a bit of both but really wanted to represent something loving.

Tenía esta peluca que compré hace tiempo y estaba esperando para darle un buen uso, siempre quise hacer un elfo con esa peluca y hoy por fin mi momento llegó.

Así que me inventé un elfo del amor, realmente no tenía idea de qué hacer pero no quería estar de lado con la temática de San Valentín uno de los días más comerciales, siempre hablamos de este día y a veces no sabemos ni el origen. San Valentín es algo que existe desde el siglo V y tiene historias muy diversas, sus orígenes son religiosos aunque no lo crean y entre una de esas historias existe hay de un San Valentín que celebrará matrimonios en la clandestinidad, se dice que casaba a los soldados con sus prometidas, esto sucedía en un tiempo donde el cristianismo fue completamente prohibido así que hacer esto era un acto de rebeldía y desacato totalmente, por lo que San Valentín eventualmente fue descubierto y enviado a ser decapitado, esta es solo una de las diversas historias que existen.

De cualquier manera hace siglos atrás usando el día de San Valentín para demostrar amor, donde era importante ser sinceros, eran momentos para demostrar cariño, momentos para recitar versos que salían del corazón, todo era un ambiente bastante poético hasta la actualidad donde poco a poco se fue integrando también la amistad y hoy en día ya es imposible no saber del día de San Valentín ya que todos aprovechan para vender algo.

¿Por que representé este día con un elfo? Bueno, sabemos que los elfos son criaturas mitológicas, que viven en los bosques porque son parte de la naturaleza, seres fértiles, inmortales y con poderes mágicos. Y ahora ¿qué sabemos nosotros del amor? Sabemos que es un sentimiento, no lo podemos ver pero lo sentimos, es parte de la naturaleza humana... Yo me hice estas preguntas y mientras pensaba llegué a la conclusión de que el amor también es inmortal mientras exista alguien, el amor también es magia porque te hace hacer hasta lo que creías imposible, el amor transmitiendo vida por lo que con las condiciones correctas también es fertilidad. Solo uní un poco de ambas cosas pero realmente quería representar algo cariñoso.
