How do we proceed to create this look?

First let's create the horns and the mouth.

¿Cómo procedemos para crear este look?

Primero vayamos a crear los cuernos y la boca.

We take small pieces of cotton and shape it into fangs (you can give it any style of teeth you like) and with a spatula or flat utensil we cover it with liquid latex. This can take a while to dry so it's better to do the necessary amount and leave it on a support or tray, and dry it with heat, with a hair dryer.

Tomamos pequeños trozos de algodón y le damos forma de colmillos (puedes darle el estilo de dientes que gustes) y con una espátula o utensilio chato lo cubrimos de látex líquido. Esto puede tardar un poco en secarse así que lo mejor es hacer la cantidad necesaria y dejarlo sobre un soporte o bandeja, y secarlo a calor, con un secador de cabello.

In the same way but with more cotton and latex we are going to make the horns.
I decided to make two big horns and with the teeth that were left over that were bigger I decided to use them as smaller horns.

De la misma manera, pero con mayor cantidad de algodón y látex vamos a hacer los cuernos.
Yo decidí hacer dos cuernos grandes y con dientes que me sobraron que eran más grandes decidí usarlos como cuernos más pequeños.

Once the teeth are dry, we use the modeling wax. This one I already mentioned in my SFX introductory materials post, so it can vary in types.

Una vez secos los dientes, usamos la cera para modelar. Esta ya la mencioné en mi post de materiales de introducción al SFX, puede variar en tipos.

We model a circumference, we need heat, either a lighter or a candle, to melt it slightly and make it easier to model. So we apply the teeth in the way we like.

Modelamos una circunferencia, necesitamos calor, ya sea un encendedor o una vela, para ir derritiendo levemente y que sea más fácil su modelaje. Y así vamos aplicando los dientes de la manera que más nos guste.

The advantage of this is that we don't get a lot of weight, so when we apply it, it doesn't fall off the face and can be supported.

La ventaja de esto es que no obtenemos mucho peso, por lo que al aplicarlo no se cae del rostro y puede soportarse.

What is the use of this prosthesis? Applying the teeth one by one on our own face implies giving the space we have, so there will be more prominent teeth in the relief of our mouth, nose, or jaw.

¿De qué nos sirve esta prótesis? Aplicar los dientes uno por uno sobre nuestro propio rostro implica darle el espacio que tenemos, por lo que habrá dientes más resaltantes los el relieve de nuestra boca, nariz, o quijada.

With the wax prosthesis we give it its own surface and in this way we have a totally different effect.

Con la prótesis hecha en cera le damos su propia superficie y así tenemos un efecto totalmente diferente.

Let's start with the application!

We protect our hair until we are done with the latex.
We glue both horns and check that they are well fixed with latex or mastic glue.

Nos protegemos el cabello hasta que terminemos con el látex.
Pegamos ambos cuernos y comprobamos que estén bien sujetos con látex o pegamento del tipo mastic, para piel.

We apply more cotton around the horns to smooth the surface and to impregnate with our skin. We use a hair dryer to speed up the process.

Aplicamos con más algodón alrededor de los cuernos para suavizar la superficie y emparejar con nuestra piel. Usamos secadora de pelo para acelerar el proceso.

We pass to glue the mouth already assembled, bordering everything with more cotton and latex, until we have a layer strong enough to support everything. And we dry.

Pasamos a pegar la boca ya armada. bordeando todo con más algodón y látex, hasta tener una capa lo sufrientemente resistente para soportar todo. Y secamos.

The last step is to paint everything. I chose red because I wanted to give it the concept of a creature from hell with black horns since the texture of the dry cotton makes it look charred.

I liked to give it a somewhat innocent and shiny look with a yellow eye contour.

El último paso es pintarlo todo. Elegí rojo porque quise darle el concepto de criatura del infierno con cuernos negros ya que la textura del algodón seco hace parecer carbonizado.

Me gustó darle un look algo inocente y llamativo con un contorno de ojos en amarillo
